Emma Raducanu’s company, Harbour 6 Ltd, made a profit of nearly £10million last year despite her on-court earnings being just £200,000. Raducanu, who is the sole director of the company, has secured a number of high-profile sponsors such as Nike, Evian, British Airways, Porsche, Tiffany, and HSBC following her 2021 US Open win. Only a third of her US Open winnings were paid into the company’s account, with the rest likely going to other accounts.
Forbes ranked Raducanu sixth on its list of the highest-earning tennis players last year, estimating her earnings at £12.2m. Despite struggling on court and undergoing triple surgery, the 21-year-old’s recent form seems to be on the rise. She led Great Britain to victory in the Billie Jean King Cup against France and secured a win against former major winner Angelique Kerber in the opening round of the Stuttgart Open. Raducanu now faces Linda Noskova of the Czech Republic for a place in the tournament’s quarter-finals.
In a statement after her victory against Kerber, Raducanu acknowledged the difficulty of playing against such an accomplished opponent, noting the pressure that comes with facing someone with a significant history in the sport. She focused on staying in the moment and not getting overwhelmed by the past results of her opponents, ultimately expressing satisfaction with her performance in the match.
