Mahmoud Dahoud: Mittelfeldspieler von Brighton wechselt auf Leihbasis zu Stuttgart

Mahmoud Dahoud, who has won two caps for Germany, has joined Stuttgart on loan for the remainder of the season. The 28-year-old midfielder has only started six Premier League games since signing a four-year deal with Brighton in July. After his contract with Borussia Dortmund expired, Dahoud made the move to Brighton, where he has struggled for playing time.

Brighton’s technical director, David Weir, believes that the loan move to Stuttgart will benefit Dahoud by providing him with the opportunity to play regularly for a team performing well in the Bundesliga. Stuttgart currently sit in third place in the German top flight, 12 points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen. Meanwhile, Brighton is sitting in eighth place in the Premier League.

Dahoud’s last appearance for Brighton was in a 1-1 draw against Burnley on 9 December. He will be joining Brighton striker Deniz Undav at Stuttgart, who is also on loan and has scored 13 goals in all competitions this season. The loan move to Stuttgart will hopefully allow Dahoud to showcase his talents and gain valuable playing time to further develop his skills as a midfielder.
