Papy Djilobodji scored the winning goal for Werder Bremen in the 88th minute, surpassing Eintracht Frankfurt in the standings. Frankfurt will now face a two-leg playoff against Nuremberg to determine which team will play in the top-tier league next season. Stuttgart, finishing three points below Frankfurt, joins already-relegated Hannover in the second tier.
